Simpson -- Davis COA |
SIMPSON -
2 3/8" long x 1 3/16" wide and from Stokes County, NC. Yes, you read it right. This Simpson "Bull Tongue form" is from North Carolina. Stokes County borders the Virginia state line to the north. It is extremely rare to find this gulf coast point type so far north. Made of tan Rhyolite which is a nicer grade of material than the Rhyolite found in the more Northeastern states. Nice patina, excellent workmanship, symmetry and thin. Good size with heavily ground base and sides. Beautiful Paleo piece that Davis graded a 10. Item#: SIM1 Price: Sold |
